This brand is the Company's original. It was first introduced to homeowners in 1907 when Dwight Scott, the founder's son, began offering high-quality grass seed by mail in the U.S. Later, the company recognized that grass has special nutritional needs that require a specifically designed fertilizer. In 1928, the Scotts® brand introduced Turf Builder®, the world's first consumer lawn fertilizer.
Today, the Scotts brand continues to focus on grass seed for consumer lawns. Our premium grass seed is guaranteed to be 99.99% weed-free. The brand includes various blends and more than 20 exclusive grass varieties to fit the different growing conditions and uses in the geographic regions we serve.
Scotts also offers a full-line of lawn and garden fertilizers. As the market leader, Scotts is the standard and has America's best-selling lawn fertilizers.
